Our DevNTell session with Rootstock has been rescheduled for Monday, October 14, at 3:30 p.m. UTC. Rootstock is our latest partner collaborating with us to provide educational content for developers. 

In this episode, Rootstock co-founder Adrian Eidelman will demo Rootstock.  Rootstock is a smart contract platform that operates as a sidechain to the Bitcoin network, bringing smart contract functionality similar to Ethereum’s to Bitcoin.  It allows developers to create and run decentralized applications with the security of the Bitcoin network as a foundation.

Bitcoin Bounces 7% Above $63K as Crypto Traders Eye China Stimulus Statement

Bitcoin bounced back 7%, rising above $63,000 as crypto traders shifted their focus from U.S. inflation concerns to an anticipated fiscal policy update from China. This sharp recovery followed a dip below $59,000 after the release of the U.S.  CPI inflation report.

FBI Creates Ethereum-Based Token To Lure Market Manipulators

The FBI created an Ethereum-based token called NexFundAI as part of a sting operation to expose market manipulators involved in illegal wash trading. This led to charges against nine individuals and three market-making firms—ZM Quant, CLS Global, and MyTrade—accused of manipulating several cryptocurrencies, including Saitama and Robo Inu. 

Crypto CEO on the run after allegedly stealing 1,800 BTC and 28,000 ETH

Horst Jicha, a crypto CEO accused of stealing 1,800 BTC and 28,000 ETH, worth over $170 million, has gone on the run after tampering with his ankle monitor. Jicha, who ran the crypto-mining scam USI-Tech, allegedly transferred investors' funds to personal accounts between 2017 and 2018. Arrested in 2023 while vacationing in Miami, he faced charges including money laundering and wire fraud.
