DevNTell - Decoding Life Through Quantum Science with the Quantum Biology Institute

This week on our DevNTell podcast, Dr. Clarice D. Aiello, a Quantum engineer and the CSO of the Quantum Biology Institute, will be our guest. The Quantum Biology Institute is engineering the future of biology using endogenous quantum degrees of freedom that seem to exist in all living beings.

Viewers of this DevNTell will learn about how Dr. Clarice co-founded the institute and discover the field of quantum biology.

This is bound to be exciting. Register to get a notification when the show starts.

DevNTell is brought to you by our friends at Arbitrum

Last week on our DevNTell podcast, David Atanda from Bonadocs was a guest on the show. Bonadocs enables web3 engineering teams to collaborate and build applications with ease by simplifying the documentation, interaction, and integration of smart contracts.

Viewers of the DevNTell saw David give us an overview of Bonadocs and showed how their toolkit can help developers build web3 applications more easily.

Recap the episode on our Spotify and Apple podcast. You can also mint the episode on pods.

D_D Cloud

Incredibly, Ethereum is now 10 years old!  All great things require time to mature, and, amazingly, it took a decade for an RPC option like D_D Cloud to emerge.

We're putting the final touches on the first-ever hybrid cloud built for web3, and it’s almost showtime. Want front-row seats when the doors open?

Lawsuit alleges that Bitmain faked contract breaches

A Texas hosting company, Old Const, is suing mining titan Bitmain, accusing it of inventing excuses to break a contract and illegally seize its crucial mining equipment.

The lawsuit claims that after signing a hosting deal in November 2024, Bitmain fabricated reasons to declare a breach and terminate the agreement. According to Old Const, Bitmain then threatened to use a Texas court to seize its mining rigs—a direct violation of a contract clause that required such disputes to be handled through arbitration, not local courts.

Old Const is now asking a judge to block Bitmain from confiscating its "essential" equipment and is seeking financial damages for the alleged strong-arm tactics, pushing for the arbitration process they originally agreed to.

Phished Founder, Liquidated Thief

A clever phishing scam hit Venus Protocol, stealing $13 million after a whale unknowingly signed a malicious transaction during a compromised Zoom call. The attacker moved fast, using flash loans and delegate approvals to empty the victim’s wallet and convert the stolen funds into collateral for more borrowing. But that greed backfired. Venus Protocol froze the system on the spot, pushed through an emergency governance vote, and launched a bold recovery plan. Within 12 hours, they liquidated the attacker’s collateral, restored the funds, and brought the protocol back online, all under the banner of “community consensus.”

TRON Surpasses Ethereum in 30-Day Fees

TRON has pulled ahead of Ethereum in 30-day transaction fees, raking in $56.7 million compared to Ethereum’s $44.3 million, according to Nansen. The surge came from 267 million transactions on TRON — more than five times Ethereum’s count, powered mostly by stablecoin transfers and fresh PayFi integrations.

TRON still lags behind Ethereum and Solana in yearly fees, but new partnerships, including tokenized xStocks with Kraken, have fueled momentum. TRON DAO points to real-world asset tokenization, stablecoin adoption, and its growing role as a payment and settlement hub. Even the U.S. Commerce Department has published GDP data directly on TRON’s blockchain.

Ethereum Layer 2 Linea to Launch Token This Week

Ethereum Layer 2 network Linea is set to launch its long-awaited token on September 10, with 10% of supply going to early adopters and builders through airdrops. Backed by Consensys and Ethereum co-founder Joe Lubin, the project has faced a rough start.

LINEA debuted at a $6 billion valuation on Hyperliquid but quickly dropped to $2.7 billion. To strengthen its Ethereum alignment, Linea has pledged to channel 20% of transaction fees into ETH buy-and-burn, addressing concerns that Layer 2s drain value from the main chain. At the same time, 75% of the token supply is reserved for the ecosystem fund to fuel adoption and growth.

WAGMI!
