This week, we have slated a doubleheader DevNTell episode for you.

The first episode will air on Wednesday, October 9, at 3:30 p.m. UTC and will feature Adrian Eidelman, the co-founder of Rootstock. 

The second episode starts on Friday, October 11, by 3:30 pm UTC and will feature Daria Agadzhanova, a DevRel Engineer at NeonEVM. 

Adrian Eidelman, the co-founder of Rootstock, will discuss it. Rootstock is a smart contract platform and a new D_D partner operating as a Bitcoin network sidechain. It brings smart contract functionality similar to Ethereum’s to Bitcoin and allows developers to create and run decentralized applications with the security of the Bitcoin network as a foundation.

This episode will teach viewers how Rootstock enables the development of EVM smart contracts for Bitcoin, unlocking game-changing possibilities for developers to build cutting-edge decentralized apps. It will also give viewers insight into what to build in our upcoming Rootstock competition.

Our second DevNTell episode for the week will feature NeonEVM, the first parallelized Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) on Solana. NeonEVM is an Ethereum EVM that allows developers to build and deploy Ethereum-native DApps on Solana from their existing codebase.

Daria Agadzhanova,  a DevRel Engineer at NeonEVM, will show viewers how to build and deploy dApps seamlessly from EVM chains to Solana, all from their existing codebase.

U.S. Election Betting: Regulated Presidential Markets Are Live, and Tiny Compared to Polymarket's

Two U.S.-regulated prediction markets, Kalshi and Interactive Brokers' ForecastEx, launched betting on the 2024 presidential election, though volumes remain small compared to Polymarket, a crypto-powered platform that has attracted over $1.2 billion despite being restricted for U.S. users. 

Binance's Market Share Falls to Four-Year Low

Binance's market dominance has hit a four-year low, with its total trading volume on centralized exchanges in September dropping to 36.6%, as reported by CCData. The exchange’s spot trading volume fell by 22.9% to $344 billion, marking its lowest share since January 2021

Bitcoin makes IMF hesitant to issue new loans to El Salvador

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is hesitant to issue new loans to El Salvador due to concerns over the country's adoption of Bitcoin as legal tender. Julie Kozack, IMF's Communications Director, highlighted that addressing Bitcoin-related risks is central to ongoing loan discussions. 

Sui Launches Native Bridge to Ethereum

Sui has launched a native bridge connecting its Layer 1 blockchain to Ethereum, enabling seamless transfers of ETH and WETH between the two chains. Previously, users had to rely on Wormhole for cross-chain transfers between Sui and Ethereum.
