This week, you can vote in our Roostock grants program to decide which projects D_D will fund. We are still looking for interested speakers for D_D Dry Runs, where you can test your talks. After last week's DevNTell was postponed, we have Web3 Afrika as a guest!
Aaaand we had a community win!
Congratulations to @jamiescript on completing the Aptos Writing Program and publishing articles on Aptos.
Upcoming Events
Rootstock Grant Voting
We thank you for all the fantastic submissions to the Rootstock x D_D grants program! We're looking forward to seeing these ideas come to life over the next month; however, before we get to the building, we need to vote to see who'll be taking home their cut of the 5k USD available in grant funding (5 separate grants of 1k).
We're calling all D_D members to visit the grants page starting November 4th to cast their votes for their favorite projects (not your own) using their CODE tokens! Polls will close on November 9th.
The top 5 most voted projects will move forward in building out their vision with grant funding to follow (stay tuned for more details about this in the coming weeks). Members who've gone through the ENS small grants experience will find a similar one here. Happy voting season!
D_D Dry Runs for Presenters
D_D is working on an idea to enable technical workshop presenters to improve their craft delivery by presenting to a smaller audience for feedback. Presenters can use the “dry run” feedback to improve and deliver a killer presentation.
If this idea excites the Community and you want to see it happen, please post your thoughts on D_D Discord.

Drake announced he had ceased advisory roles, pledging neutrality and reinforcing Ethereum’s conflict of interest policy. At the same time, Feist acknowledged the concerns and expressed regret over the perception of his association with EigenLayer.

Student Launches Solana Memecoin from Samsung Fridge in Mall
An Australian university student recently launched the "FRIDGE" memecoin from a Samsung smart fridge in a mall, stirring up curiosity from store staff and crypto enthusiasts alike. After a spontaneous live-streamed launch on the Solana DEX Raydium, the token soared to a $9 million market cap before plunging 80% shortly after. The student, known as "Fridge Dev," even inspired community members to create a wallet for the store manager, who promptly sold off the gifted tokens. Fridge Dev plans to move the fridge to public spaces across Sydney to promote the token and "onboard normies" to crypto in unconventional ways.
