This proposal has been elevated to the Forum. It details the approval of the D_D Community for a budget request of $12,000 USDC, broken down into $10,000 USDC from the DAO Treasury and $ 2,000 from the Investments Team allocation. The purpose of the funds is to revitalize D_D by bringing back the old days, where active members are sponsored to attend events. The funds will be utilized in the following ways:
Community Developer Sponsorship Program:
Budget: 6,000 $USDC ($2,000 per developer). Send three active community developers to DevConnect, based on specific criteria. Funds distributed after verification of travel eligibility (VISA, passport, availability)
Developer DAO Community Meetup
Budget: up to 4,000 $USDC: To host a networking event for existing and new community members.

Proposal for July-September Quarter
The proposal requests $ 9,000 USD for the July-September quarter to renew the Coordination/Marketing Role, managed by Billyjitsu and led by Narbs.
There is also a 30,000 $USDC request over time for the investments team. This will be used to earn yield over time while analyzing risk factors for the DAO. The full 30,000 will not be taken all at once, but strategically be pulled when opportunities arise that meet certain risk criteria.
Exercise your governance right by voting either way you choose on the proposal here. Voting ends on August 26.

Cyberattack freezes Swedish municipalities for 1.5 BTC
A massive ransomware attack brought public services across Sweden to a standstill, crippling IT systems in 80% of the country's municipalities. The attack, which breached infrastructure provider Miljödata, disrupted 200 critical services, including healthcare and HR systems, as well as injury reporting platforms.
Hackers are holding the systems hostage, demanding a surprisingly low ransom of just 1.5 Bitcoin (roughly $170,000) to prevent them from leaking sensitive data. Days later, the networks remain heavily encrypted, paralyzing local government. Officials are now scrambling and hope to restore most services by the end of the week.
An attacker drained $5 million from the PulseChain lending protocol BetterBank just six weeks after its launch, exploiting a fundamental flaw in its design. The hacker created fake liquidity pools pairing BetterBank's token with a worthless one they controlled. The protocol's 50% tax didn't apply because these pools were unofficial.
The system mistakenly interpreted large, fake swaps within these pools as legitimate trading activity and showered the attacker with infinite bonus rewards, which were then cashed out for real assets.
Cybersecurity firm Zokyo had already spotted and documented this exact vulnerability months before, during an audit. They warned BetterBank that someone could use "bogus tokens" to exploit the reward system. Still, BetterBank downgraded the warning to "low priority," dismissing it because Zokyo's test simulation used a legitimate token (ETH) and yielded a negative result.
US Government Taps Chainlink and Pyth to Publish Economic Data Onchain
In a groundbreaking move, the U.S. government is now publishing its official economic data, including key figures such as GDP, directly onto eight major blockchain networks.
The initiative, which leverages decentralized oracle networks Chainlink and Pyth, posts the data on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Tron, Stellar, Avalanche, Arbitrum, and Polygon. This transforms the way vital information is distributed, utilizing decentralized infrastructure to create a transparent and tamper-resistant system accessible to anyone, anywhere.
The immediate market reaction was explosive. News of the government's endorsement sent oracle tokens soaring, with PYTH rocketing 52% to a $1 billion market cap. LINK also climbed 2.8%, solidifying its $17 billion valuation as a key piece of institutional-grade DeFi infrastructure.
This move is widely seen as a significant step toward legitimizing and adopting decentralized finance, signaling that the future of transparent data is being built on-chain.
