Last week on the DevNTell Podcast, we had two exciting episodes. The first episode was about “Turning Projects into Paid Gigs with Contribo” featuring Aleksa Stojanović, founder of Contribo. Contribo helps organizations turn real projects into paid gigs and connects them with developers who can prove their skills by building, not resumes.
Viewers of the DevNTell episode learned the major problems Contribo is tackling, and why outcome-based gigs can help fix hiring bottlenecks.
If you missed the episode, recap it on our Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Mint and own the episode on Pods.
The second DevNTell episode was “The future of intelligent and autonomous systems with Weilliptic”. Avinash Lakshman, founder & CEO of Weilliptic was our guest. Avinash is most well-known for co-inventing Amazon Dynamo and creating Apache Cassandra while at Facebook; however, having now founded Weilliptic, he is on a mission to create the most advanced decentralized infrastructure network ever built, providing unparalleled scalability without sacrificing security and throughput. Weilliptic's mission is to make AI ethical via provenance and governance.

Cloudflare Partners with Coinbase to Launch x402 Foundation
Cloudflare has teamed up with Coinbase to launch the x402 Foundation, an initiative to standardize and drive adoption of the x402 protocol. The protocol is designed to create a universal language for value exchange online, enabling machines to transact directly without accounts, subscriptions, or API keys. For years, HTTP 402 “Payment Required” codes went unused because no clear standard existed — x402 changes that by defining how clients and servers negotiate payments programmatically. With this framework, digital agents can pay on demand for everything from data access to computing power, opening new monetization models for creators and service providers alike.
Plasma’s Savings Vault Attracts Almost $3 Billion in 24 Hours
Plasma’s new stablechain exploded out of the gate with a blockbuster launch. In its first 24 hours, the Bitfinex-backed network drew nearly $3 billion into its flagship Savings Vault, outpacing the total value locked on many entire blockchains. Built on Aave and Veda, the vault offers around 20% APY on USDT deposits and quickly grabbed investor attention, pulling in $1.3 billion in its first hour before doubling again. Plasma isn’t stopping there; it also plans to roll out a basis-trade vault that uses delta-neutral strategies to capture yield from perpetual funding fees.
Circle rarely freezes stolen funds but wants reversible transactions
Circle, the issuer of the $74B USDC stablecoin, is weighing the addition of reversible transactions to allow refunds in fraud or dispute cases, a step that could bring it closer to traditional finance but clash with crypto’s core principle of instant, final settlement.
Circle president Heath Tarbert told the Financial Times the company is wrestling with the trade-off between “immediacy and irreversibility.” Any refund system would likely run off-chain, using a second layer to process counter-payments much like credit card chargebacks.
The debate follows the passage of the GENIUS Act, which requires stablecoin issuers to maintain freeze, seize, or burn controls. While USDC already includes an “Access Denial” freeze function, Circle has faced criticism for not using it effectively, most notably after the $42M GMX hack, when attackers funneled millions of USDC into unfreezable DAI.
